He completed his secondary schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya Barrackpore Airforce in 1985 and then went on to Shaheed Bhagat Singh College at the University of Delhi, where he received a Bachelor of Commerce.
Shoojit Sircar Early Life
Sircar was born in Barrackpore, Kolkata, in the Indian state of West Bengal. Both of his parents were born in Bengal. In 2004, both of Sircar’s parents died. His mother had a stroke, and his father died of cancer.
At first, he worked as an accountant at the Le Meridien hotel in Delhi. Then, he switched to the advertising business. After going to the Delhi International Film Festival, he decided to go into the movie business. The American documentary Dear America: Letters Home from Vietnam and the Indian movie Pather Panchali by Satyajit Ray both made him want to become a filmmaker. Ashish Vidyarthi, Manoj Bajpaye, and Piyush Mishra were all part of the Act One theatre group that Sircar started in the early 1990s.
Sircar has two girls named Koyna and Anannya. He has a wife named Jhuma Sircar. He and his family have made Kolkata their home. Sircar is a member of the All Stars Football Club, which is made up of famous people who play football to raise money for charities.

He did well as a director in Bollywood with the movies Yahaan, Vicky Donor, Madras Cafe, and Piku, all of which came out between 2005 and 2015.
