Shakun Batra Education
He received his education at St. Xavier’s Senior Secondary School in Delhi. From 2001 to 2004, he attended St. Stephen’s College in Delhi. He later finished a cinematography course at Vancouver Film School in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Shakun Batra was born in New Delhi on January 1, 1983. His father runs a business that sells things that keep mosquitoes away. His mother is a doctor who is kind. Shakun has both a sister and a brother. Shubham Batra, his brother, is a builder. In 2013, there were rumours that Shakun was dating the Indian actress and director Sonam Nair.
Shakun Batra Career
He became interested in photography when he was young and decided to become a wildlife photographer. After he finished a course in cinematography, he went to work in Mumbai as an assistant for a few Indian directors, including Errol Morris and Christopher Wilcha. He has worked on different projects with Equinox Films, Excel Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., and Dharma Productions, all of which are Indian production companies. In 2012, he wrote and directed his first movie, “Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu,” which starred Kareena Kapoor and Emran Khan in the main roles.
After taking a break of almost four years, he returned to his job as a director and writer with the wildly popular Hindi movie Kapoor & Sons in 2016. In 2021, he wrote, directed, and was an executive producer for the Hindi documentary “Searching for Sheela.” In 2022, “Gehraiyaan,” a movie directed by Shakun, joined Amazon Prime. He also helped make the movie and wrote parts of it. He has also directed a few TV ads for Nestle, Head & Shoulders, and Google, among other things.
