Reema Kagti Education
Reema finished her schooling at Delhi Public School and then went to Sophia College in Mumbai to get her bachelor’s degree in English literature. She later changed schools and is now getting a postgraduate diploma in social media communications at Sophia Polytechnic, Cumballa Hill.

In an interview, Reema Kagti said that her father is a farmer and that she is from the Assamese village of Borhapjan in the Tinsukia district. She also said that after high school in Delhi, she moved to Mumbai.
She wrote mystery and adventure stories all the time when she was young. When she sold her first story to Tinkle Magazine, she got $25. Kagti skipped third grade to go to the theatre and see Salaam Bombay. The experience made her even more sure that she wanted to become a filmmaker.
Her businessman grandfather also tried his hand at making and acting in Assamese movies. Her family was shocked and surprised when she told them she wanted to be a movie director. After that, though, he did help her.
All three of her applications to the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) were turned down. To get her degree in Social Communications Media, she had to do an internship. She chose to work for a film company instead of a TV production company so she could get more experience.

Reema Kagti has directed and written a number of well-known Bollywood films, such as Talaash (2007) and Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. She started her career as an assistant director on famous films like Dil Chahta Hai and Lagaan. (2001). Reema has helped Excel Entertainment’s movies a lot over the years thanks to the many times she has worked with directors Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar. Two examples are Lakshya (2004), which is a war drama, and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, which is a buddy road movie. The movie was liked by both audiences and critics. It was about a police officer who was trying to solve a strange crime while also coming to terms with the death of his son. Over 1.7 billion Indian rupees were made from ticket sales for Talaash, and 83% of reviewers on the website Rotten Tomatoes gave the movie a good rating.
In 2018, Reema made her third movie. It was a historical sports drama called “Gold,” which was about India’s first-ever Olympic gold medal. Gully Boy is one of her 2019 movies, along with Gold, which was co-produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani and starred an ensemble cast led by Akshay Kumar.
