Gurukiran Wiki and Biography: Gurukiran, whose full name is Gurukiran Shetty, is a music director in India who works mostly on Kannada films. He got his start in movies with Upendra’s Kannada movie A, in which he not only acted but also directed. As his reputation grew, he was able to cement it with the score of his next Kannada movie, Upendra. He was born into the Bunt family in the city of Mangalore. Gurukiran Biography
Gurukiran Education
In the early 1970s, he went to St. Aloysius Primary School, where he was a popular singer in the class. After he graduated from Mangalore University with a degree in Commerce, he started singing and playing the keyboard in orchestras.
Gurukiran Early Life
After being born on October 28 in Mangalore, Karnataka, to parents K Jayaram Shetty and Ratnakanti, he started his career in 1994 as V. Manohar’s assistant. His marriage to Pallavi Guru Kiran gave them two children, Hrudaya and Shravya.
Gurukiran Career
Gurukiran made his first movie as a music director in 1998 with the movie A, which starred Upendra and was directed by him. Because the movie did well at the box office, Upendra asked him to help him with his next movie. Gurukiran wrote the music for the Kannada psychological thriller Upendra, which came out in 1999. Upendra wrote the lyrics for the movie.
Gurukiran didn’t just love music, though. He also wanted to act, so he tried out for Sandalwood. Gurukiran’s first movie was called Mr. Shanker Bekal. He was the cameraman for it. After that, he got his first big role in Sunil Kumar Desai’s 1993 heist thriller Nishkarsha. Even though he tried, he couldn’t make a big mark in the world of acting.
In 2005, he became famous when he sang Hodi Maga and Bin Ladennu Nan Maava in the movie Jogi, which starred Shivarajkumar. The sales of this album before it came out set a new record for the Kannada film industry. Yogi, the Telugu version of Jogi made by V. V. Vinayak in 2007, was his first movie in the business. He wrote the music for the movie Nagavalli, which came out in Telugu in 2010.
Gurukiran has been a judge on several singing competitions, such as Season 2 of Confident Star Singer on Asianet Suvarna and Ede Tumbi Haduvenu on ETV Kannada. He sang in a number of popular Kannada movies, including the romantic song “Kanasina Maratta” from “Banna Bannada Loka.” Gurukiran has won many awards for his work in the Kannada film industry. One of them is the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Music Director in 2011.
