Aditya Chopra has always liked to read, watch movies, and dance. He is the son of famous filmmaker Yash Chopra and his wife Pamela. Karan Johar, Abhishek Kapoor, and Anil Thadani were some of his best friends and classmates at Hassaram Rijhumal College of Commerce and Economics in Mumbai. He also went to Bombay Scottish School.

Aditya Chopra helped his father Yash Chopra make the films Lamhe (1991), Chandni (1989), and Darr, which starred Sridevi, before he made his directorial debut with the mega-hit cult classic Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. After that, the movie was a big hit, and the National Film Award was given to it for being the best popular movie that gave good entertainment.
Mohabbatein, his second movie, was a big hit at the box office. Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi was Aditya Chopra’s first movie as a director in eight years. Even though critics had mixed feelings about the movie, its soundtrack was the first Bollywood album to make it into the top ten best-selling albums on the iTunes Store. After taking a break of eight years, Aditya Chopra directed the romantic comedy Befikre in 2016.
